Devastatingly Beautiful

Devastatingly Beautiful, coauthored with my stepson Andrew Hatala, was published today in the Canadian Medical Association Journal (CMAJ).   It is my life story this past three years, navigating a life-threatening illness, becoming a widow, and all the accompanying losses and grief, and in time, emerging with profound gratitude, love and joy.

I am grateful for a lifetime love of learning, yoga, meditation, my faith, my leadership path, for my loved ones who continue to draw close, and my trusted exceptional Medical Team.

Andrew, heartfelt thank you for walking with me,  our devastatingly beautiful shared experience of life and death , supporting each other, and  bringing our respective  strengths together to offer a healing story to help ourselves and others heal.  I am blessed!
